The preparation work is the key to success when painting furniture. Wash the substrate down with a solution of T.S.P. plus, lightly scuff with fine sandpaper. Prime with an appropriate primer (if not sure, use alkyd primer). Paint as desired with a durable paint such as Beauti-Tone Melamine or Liquid Plastic.
